No Peek Beef Tips  Recipes

It sounds like you’re looking for the classic No Peek Beef Tips recipe — a very easy oven dish where you don’t open the oven while it cooks (“no peeking”) so the meat stays tender. 🍲✨

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat or beef tips
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can Beef Consommé
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, combine:
    • uncooked rice
    • water
    • cream of mushroom soup
    • beef consommé
  3. Stir until mixed.
  4. Add beef tips on top of the mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the Lipton onion soup mix evenly over the beef.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with foil.
  7. Bake for 2½–3 hours.
  8. Do not open the oven while cooking — that’s the “no peek” rule.

Serving

Serve hot with:

  • green beans 🥦
  • mashed potatoes 🥔
  • or a simple salad 🥗

Tips

  • You can substitute beef consommé with beef broth if needed.
  • For extra flavor, add sliced mushrooms or onions before baking.
  • Chuck roast cut into cubes also works well.
